Drought
A drought is an extended period of time where there is a lack in water supply or rain. The main cause of this is when a region receives a below average amount of precipitation over a period of time. Droughts can have substantial impacts on the ecosystem and agriculture of the affected region.
The consequences of droughts may not only affect a specific region but even other regions as well. Droughts can cause death of livestock, reduced crop yield, and wild fires that can break out and destroy entire forests.
