Homemade Wind Energy

Due to the intricacy of a turbine that converts the propeller movement to energy, it is required that the turbine itself is bought; I recommend the Rutland 503 for effective wind energy. This model produces up to 80 watts and is a half meter in diameter. Also, you will need a regulator to manage the electricity level of the turbine. The HRS503 regulator is designed specifically for the Rutland 503. Next, you will need to purchase a deep-cycle 12-volt sealed gel-battery. Also, you will need an inverter to allow yourself to run ac appliances off the battery. Finally, you will need about six insulated wires to connect the turbine to the regulator, the regulator to the battery, and the battery to the inverter.

Now that you have the parts it's time to start putting it all together. First, connect two of the insulated wires to the turbine in the designated location (this may vary depending on what model turbine you have opted to get.) Now, connect the other two ends of the wire to the regulator. After that, connect two more wires to the regulator. The other ends of these wires then go into the battery. Next, using another piece of insulated wire, connect the battery to the power inverter. The last step is to place the turbine outside. You can now plug your appliances into the inverter for use and the battery will store all unused power for later.
